Manager, Customer Service, Evaluation and Compensation

The Manager of Evaluation and Compensation will help design, review, communicate, and implement various initiatives and will act as a primary contact with Florida DOE on the Race to the Top initiative. A great focus will be placed on data collection and analysis pertaining to the administrative and teacher evaluation systems. The manager will be expected to oversee various committees, design reports related to evaluation, and deliver presentations to a wide variety of audiences. The manager will also have the responsibility of maintaining evaluation handbooks for the district.
Professional Qualifications: Master's Degree required. Degree or formal training in Educational Leadership preferred. Three years of increasingly responsible experience in human resources or educational programs with three years of related management or supervisory experience preferred. Florida Professional Educator Certificate in Educational Leadership, School Principal or Administration and Supervision is preferred. An appointee who possesses subject area
certification but does not possess the appropriate administrative certification will be given four (4) years from the date of appointment to obtain the appropriate administrative certification or complete the Developing District Leader (DDL) program.

Supervisor of Assessment-Race to the Top-Hard to Measure Assessments-Career/Technical Education

The Supervisor of Assessment Development will manage the development and administration of the district’s hard-to-measure assessment program in Career/Technical Education for the term of the Race to the Top Hard-to-Measure grant. This supervisor will collaborate with subject-area supervisors to develop, review, revise and deploy end-of-course (EOC) exams for all grade levels in the field Career/Technical Education. The Supervisor will: manage the development of 20 item banks and assessments to be used as interim, formative, and summative tests by schools and districts; train and supervise test development staff; prioritize the district test development and revision schedule; assist schools in understanding and use of district-developed assessment; coordinate the use of district-developed tests for purposes such as teacher and curriculum evaluation; create formative assessments that can be used to identify students in need of remediation on state standards and coordinate data collection of assessment results for analysis. This position will work with the Department of Assessment and Accountability to assess progress toward identified milestones and adjust program processes as necessary.

This position is funded by a 3-year Department of Education Race to the Top grant. In the event that satisfactory progress is not made in meeting the grant annual goals, the grant will not be refunded and the position will be deleted.
