Stacy R. White was elected to the School Board (District 4) in 2010.
Dr. White is a fifth generation native of Hillsborough County and has lived here continuously, with the exception of time away at college. He earned a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Florida in 1996.
Dr. White contributes to the education of pharmacy students by serving as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy at the University of Florida, where he has also served as a course facilitator and academic advisor. In 2006, he was honored by the university in receiving the "Roche Preceptor of the Year in an Outpatient Setting" award. As a pharmacist, Dr. White has played a role in the shift toward a clinical model of pharmacy practice by taking on a leadership role in Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and becoming certified as an immunizing pharmacist.
Dr. White is active in the community. He attends church at First United Methodist of Brandon, and has coached at the local Hillsborough County Recreation Center. He has served as a classroom volunteer, PTA Board member, and frequent "Great American Teach In" speaker.
Dr. White has been married 14 years. He and his wife, Barbie, have three children who attend Hillsborough County Public Schools in District 4. Barbie White earned Bachelors and Masters Degrees in education in 1995 and 1997. They live in Valrico.
