A: First, read the Superintendent's Guidelines for District and School Level grants link above. Then, communicate with your Principal to determine if the grant meets your school's needs. With your Principal's support, call the Grants and Research Office for assistance or with questions concerning the district's procedures for grant application. Finally, notify the Grants and Research Office at 272-4880 when you receive your award.

Q: Where do I get information about grants that I can use in my classroom or my school?

A: You can go the District’s main web site homepage and click on Grants Office. Everything you need including contact numbers is at that site. Or you may call the Grants and Research Operations Office at 272-4880. Communicate with your Principal to determine if a particular grant meets your school's needs. With the Principal's support, call the Grants and Research Office for assistance or with questions concerning the district's procedures for grant application. Finally, notify the Grants and Research Office when you receive your award.

Q: I am a parent and I am interested in writing a grant for my child's school. How should I proceed?

A: You must communicate with the Principal at your child's school and determine which grants meet the school's needs. Your school Principal will contact the Grants and Research Office with your name and information concerning the grant for which you wish to apply. With the Principal's support, call the Grants and Research Operations Office at 272-4880. The Grants and Research Office will advise you as to the policies and procedures of the school district and help you determine what you need to do to apply for a particular grant.

A: Send it directly to the Education Foundation using the address on the RFP or call the Foundation at 231-1924.

Q: I need signatures for my grant. How do I obtain them?
