Providing Safe, Healthy and Quality Early Educational Experiences
Funded by the Early Learning Coalition of Hillsborough County, the School Readiness Program provides financial assistance for child care and early education to low-income working parents and families referred by partner agencies.
The goal of the School Readiness Program is to provide safe, healthy and quality early educational experiences that support enhanced outcomes for children, their families and the surrounding communities.
Children will be safe and well cared for in a clean, healthy environment.
Children will receive nurturing guidance from qualified caregivers based on a school readiness foundation.
Children will be provided with an age-appropriate program which will meet his/her physical, mental, emotional, social and intellectual needs.
Children will be ready to learn when entering kindergarten.
Families will be provided resources and opportunities that support the needs of the child.
Children and their families will be recognized and promoted as the community's greatest asset.
School Readiness staff works with child care centers and family child care homes to train, coach and provide technical assistance on developmentally appropriate curriculum, character development, and instructional assessment.
School Readiness Programs are located throughout Hillsborough County in private child care centers, family child care homes and after school programs.
