Applicants and Interns
Thank you for your interest in School Social Work Services. If you are interested in applying for a position in this district there are two steps to the process.
Attendance Remediation
School social workers are an integral part of the school team of educators and who strive to support positive attendance for all students. Research has shown that consistent school attendance is linked to academic performance and enhanced opportunities.
Bilingual Services
Bilingual School Social Workers function as a team with the Bilingual School Psychologists to provide services to Limited English Proficient (LEP) students and their families.

Homeless Education and Literacy Project (HELP)
The Homeless Education and Literacy Project (HELP) team and Hillsborough County Public Schools are dedicated to assisting homeless and in-transition families and children by eliminating barriers to school enrollment, attendance, continuity, and overall academic success.

Description of School Social Worker and their role
Title VI Native American and Alaskan Native Education
Title VI is the designation of the portion of the federal law that addresses Native American and Alaskan Native students’ academic success. Within Hillsborough County, Title VI services will include wraparound academic and social support to Native American and Alaskan Native Students enrolled in Hillsborough County Public Schools.
