Our school district is county-wide and consists of:

  • 266 schools grades K-12 ( 142 Elem., 44 Mid., 2 K-8, 27 High, 4 Career Centers and 4 HiTEC, and 43 Charters)
  • The school district also operates 82 Adult programs at schools and other sites in the community.

The School District of Hillsborough County's Department of Student Services has practitioners with special expertise in providing social work, health, and psychological / diagnostic services. Students in early childhood programs through adult education are eligible to receive services from these practitioners. Social, mental and physical health concerns, as well a crisis intervention counseling, are addressed by this Department. (813)273-7136

The Student Progression Plan, discusses age requirements and transfer requirements for students entering school either for the first time or from another school district (see the elementary section). It also focuses on requirements for pupil  progression from one grade to the next.
