Step 2: Writing Sample

The Hillsborough Writes essay administered in the eighth grade language arts class during November 10-18, 2011, is the official writing sample for the magnet high school application. (See dates in the next column).

If students did not take the Hillsborough Writes in November at their school or attend a Writing Session, they should contact the Choice Information line at 813-272-4692.

Step 2: Attend a Writing Sample

Please call the Choice Information Line at (813) 272-4692 for writing sample information.

Students must attend one of the scheduled writing sessions.

There is no pre-registration for the Writing Sample. Students must be in line prior to the start time. Parents will have an opportunity to attend a Q & A session while students are writing. The writing sample will last approximately an hour.
