PCA-Tampa Bay Recognizes HCPS Scholarship Winners
The Tampa Bay Rays honored scholarship award winners during a pre-game ceremony on the field. Winners were joined by PCA-Tampa Bay board members Matt Silverman - President of Baseball Operations for the Tampa Bay Rays, Ken Leikam - U.S. Managing Partner for Deloitte, Troy Fowler – Director of The Triad Foundation, and Mark Sakalosky – Executive Director of PCA-Tampa Bay. Following the presentation, guests were treated to a reception by the Rays and PCA-Tampa Bay in the suite section of Tropicana Field for family members and supporters from the Tampa Bay Community.
These winners were selected from a group of 25 finalists out of 4,600 applicants nationwide. All finalists from across the Tampa Bay area were recognized for having the qualities of a Triple-Impact Competitor®; an athlete that makes themselves, their teammates, and the game better. PCA-Tampa Bay recognized the accomplishments of the finalists through personalized webpages, professional videos, and social media. Through interviews, letters of recommendation, and a self-submitted video, PCA-Tampa Bay’s scholarship committee selected 24 Triple-Impact Competitor® Scholarship winners.
