Hillsborough County Students will be Honored for Hispanic Heritage Essays

Tampa, Fla. – (May 24, 2017) – Hillsborough County Public Schools students will be honored at the Tampa Hispanic Heritage 30th Annual Essay Contest Awards ceremony on Saturday, May 27.
The awards ceremony will celebrate the achievements of middle and high school students in Hillsborough County and across the bay area. The ceremony will be held at the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City at 9:30 a.m.
Tampa Hispanic Heritage, Inc. has sponsored the essay contest for the past 30 years to highlight the Hispanic culture and the many contributions of Hispanic leaders in our community, both across the state and nationally.
This year’s essay theme was “The Impact of Hispanics as the Largest Minority in the United States”.
The Hillsborough County Public Schools 2017 Essay Contest winners are:
Category I: Grades 6-8 English
