On March 27 the Tampa Breakfast Sertoma Club sponsored their annual National Heritage Month Contest at Pizzo Elementary. Students in 4th and 5th Grade wrote essays describing what their heritage and America means to them. Winners received a gift card to Walmart.

Sertoma is an acronym for Service to Mankind, and its Purpose is to meet the needs of communities through volunteer service. Its Mission is to improve the quality of life today for those at risk or impacted by hearing loss through education and support. In addition to sponsoring the National Heritage Contest to promote freedom and democracy, the Tampa Breakfast Sertoma Club has been a supporter of HCPS DHH programs for decades.

Congratulations to the winners!
