Favorite storybook characters come to life in HCPS

October 30, 2015

In time for the holidays, many schools from all over the district including Rampello K-8 and Patricia J. Sullivan Partnership School brings students love of reading and dressing up to life with Storybook Character Parades.

Kindergarten students and parents were invited to dress up as their favorite characters from some of their favorite story books.

As storybook characters from Rampello filled the corridor and hallways of the Raymond O. Shelton School Administrative Center (ROSSAC) they were greeted by Superintendent Jeff Eakins and district staff members with treats.  Several staff members even joined in on the fun and dressed up as character favorites from Disney Pixar Inside Out and Minions!

Students at the Patricia J. Sullivan Partnership School had the opportunity to select a character of choice from costume donations from Girl Scout Troops to partners like Nestle.  Students had a tough choice between popular superheroes from Iron Man to old time favorites like Rapunzel.

All the students enjoyed the fun and excitement of bringing their favorite characters to life.  To learn more about making reading fun visit sdhc.k12.fl.us and type “go Library”.
