The most substantial payment of public funds for the operation of the District is that which is made to the employees of the School Board for services rendered. This policy is promulgated to ensure that each person so compensated is validly employed by this District and that the compensation remitted fairly represents the services rendered.
Employment of all District personnel whether by the year, term, month, week, day, or hour in contract or temporary form must be approved by the Board, except where authority to appoint certain personnel of the District has been delegated to the Superintendent in Policy 1120 - Employment of Administrators, Policy 3120 - Employment of Instructional Staff, and Policy 4120 - Employment of Support Staff.
Each motion of the Board to employ or reemploy a staff member shall include the name of the individual, the position title, and the effective date of employment. Salaries of all employees shall be determined by the Board on the recommendation of the Superintendent and shall be outlined in the annual salary schedule adopted by the Board.
All non-bargaining personnel are paid on a bi-weekly schedule and by direct deposit.
