The District shall make all legally required payroll deductions and such deductions do not require Board approval.
To the extent permitted by law and consistent with the specific provisions of any applicable negotiated agreement, voluntary payroll deductions will be approved by the Board and authorized, in writing, by the employee. All initial requests must be authorized by the Board as recommended by the Superintendent.
A payroll deduction for an employee beyond those required by the Florida statutes shall have the Superintendent's approval and shall be made only upon the written request of the employee.
|A.||Payroll deductions shall be based on an amount divided into equal payments and shall continue for the duration of the payroll request.
|B.||The employee may cancel noncompulsory deductions on written notice meeting payroll requirements.
|C.||Payroll deductions for the exclusive bargaining agent(s) shall be in accordance with Florida statutes and negotiated agreements. The organization may be billed annually for the cost of deducting and transmitting such dues to the organization.
|D.||Payroll deductions may also include any monies owed to the Board by the employee. This may be caused by salary overpayment of any kind.
