Electronic communications technology enables individuals to be reached whenever a situation arises that requires immediate contact and communication regardless of the person’s location at the time.
Upon the recommendation of the Superintendent, the Board shall approve a monthly stipend that will be issued to those employees who are in positions authorized by the Superintendent for electronic accessibility. The criteria for such authorization shall include:
|A.||Safety requirements indicate having electronic accessibility is an integral part of performing duties of job description
|B.||More than 50% of work is conducted in the field and no other communication service is provided
|C.||Required to be on-call outside of normal work hours as a job requirement
|D.||Critical decision maker
The Superintendent shall develop and update, as necessary, administrative procedures to implement this policy.
