Student Nutrition Services -- Manager Intern Program

Do you enjoy making food look good and taste even better? Do you have experience in quantity food service management in schools or other organization? Do you have experience using sound financial management principles? Do you communicate effectively, both verbally and written? Do you have at least a high school diploma? Do you enjoy learning and new challenges? School Food Services may be for you! Student Nutrition Services (SNS) offers an 18-week Management Intern Program, made up of hands-on training and weekly classroom instruction. To be considered, intern candidates must move through the following steps:
At any of the above steps, the applicant may no longer be considered for the program if basic criteria are not met. If accepted, interns will become public school employees and be paid to participate. Successful completion of the program is necessary before one becomes eligible for school management. This includes demonstrating competencies in functional areas of responsibilities, achieving passing grades on all assessments, and obtaining recommendations from three training managers and the intern's supervisor.
