Strengthening School Community Connections
The office of Community Engagement & Philanthropy cultivates meaningful partnerships that are responsive to the unique needs of our students, families, and schools which collectively impact student success.
We continue to build on the strong school culture model throughout the district and identifying and sharing information with community stakeholders and student families in several ways.
Here in Hillsborough County, we are embracing new ways to help every child succeed by implementing innovative initiatives across the District. These programs will work hand in hand to prepare every student for success in college or a career.
The Volunteer Services Department is committed to working with volunteers and community partners. We serve as a liaison to link volunteers and community partners with our schools.
Volunteers and community partners are saying “Y.E.S.” every day to empower students with the skills, knowledge and attitudes that are necessary to “prepare students for life”.
HCPS recognizes that the district cannot work in isolation. External partners are critical to helping the district address our Strategic Priorities and realize our vision of Preparing Students for Life. Individual schools may also interact with our partners to enhance and improve the quality of education for our students, strengthen the parent-school relationships, encourage parent involvement, promote student equality, and help achieve the highest level of success within and outside the classroom.
HCPS Spirit Nights - Sport Teams partner with Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS) “Partners in Education” advocacy program by providing special promotional pricing to the student, family and staff of HCPS.
Our team is delighted to welcome all of our students, parents, partners and school district staff to a wealth of services where we support our families by providing high quality services and resources. We believe families play a crucial role in forming a child's identity and are a major influence on them to become positive leaders in the community and in their schools. Parents are their first teachers.
