Phase 1:

Phase 1 of the Administrative Screening process is the online application. The application will be found under “vacancies” when the application period is open.

Go to https://www.applitrack.com/sdhc/onlineapp/

In order to prepare, candidates should review the competency rubric, specifically the column titled FLA. Screening questions, reference forms, and role plays will be based on these competencies.

Phase 2:

Once the online applications and references are reviewed, select applicants will be invited to screen for Future Leader Academy (FLA). FLA is a six-month leadership preparation program which includes coursework, job-embedded activities, and a 30-day entry plan. After successful completion of the program, candidates will be placed in Hillsborough’s Administrative Pool. The applicant’s screening score is valid for 5 years.

Candidates who have served as Assistant Principals or Principals in another district are expected to go through the administrative screening process and may be waived from the FLA program. Participation in the pre-service program will be determined on a case-by-case basis depending on previous experience and the ability of participants meeting the competencies during the screening process.
