Hillsborough County Public Schools and district offices will be closed Monday, March 18th through Friday, March 22nd for Spring Break. Regular hours will resume Monday, March 25th. Students return to school Tuesday, March 26th.
Choice Hardship allows parents and legal guardians, with a documented hardship, an opportunity to submit a request for a school that is capped for School Choice. Note: Requests are not automatic. Choice Hardship is limited and only available under extreme (documented) hardships. Transportation is not provided.
Extreme or Profound Hardship
Parents are advised that Choice Hardship may be revoked at any time
if students do not meet behavior and attendance standards established by schools. Click herefor procedures and reasons for revocation of Choice Hardship.
Choice Hardship is a two step process.
Step 1 - Begin application process by submitting application online during an open application period.
Step 2 - Print the completed online application during an open application period and mail to:

Both steps 1 and 2 must be completed in order for the application to be considered.
Note: Once a student is granted choice hardship to a school, families do not need to reapply for subsequent years at that school.
