The Growth Management & Planning Department welcomes you to our website. Our department provides services for the School District, local governments and members of the public on a variety of topics all generally related to the planning and siting of new schools and related facilities, managing capacity at schools to ensure adequate space to serve new residential development and the purchase and sale of District real estate.
Hillsborough County Schools utilizes Geographical Information Systems (GIS) to assist planners, school district administrators, and school board members with their ability to make more efficient and effective decisions regarding many aspects of the district’s planning efforts. Additionally, GIS technologies are an integral part of the increasing greater public participation and transparency throughout all aspects of the District.
