HELP Students in Transition Program

McKinney Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act
The McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Assistance Act is the primary federal legislation addressing the education of children and youth experiencing homelessness in U.S. public schools.
This procedure has been developed as a mandate under the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Act. All schools are required to immediately enroll the identified homeless child, even if the child lacks records normally required for enrollment.
