From track and field races to soccer, students took center stage at the Fifth Annual IncrediBull Games at Bloomingdale High School. The Special Olympics event brings together hundreds of students from across the eastern part of the county to compete.
Bloomingdale students volunteered their time to help put the event together, along with students from other schools and community members. Each competitor had a "buddy," or volunteer who made sure they made it to their scheduled competitions. Students took part in wheelchair races, runs, soccer and other field games like a "shot put" softball competition.
Athletes not only got to show their athletic prowess, they met new friends from across the district. At the end of the games, everyone received a gold medal.
