The state has directed all school districts in Florida to keep schools closed through the end of the school year due to concerns over the coronavirus. More information is available on our Coronavirus Information page.
Thaddeus Bullard, also known as WWE Superstar Titus O’Neil, has always had a big heart.
The impact he has made in the Tampa Bay community is helping hundreds of children. His most recent good deed is helping a grieving family.
Last week, we brought you the story of Lennard High School Senior Richard Canales Calles, whose last wish was to receive his high school diploma.
Richard was diagnosed with bone cancer in August of 2018. Through all of his cancer treatments, he stayed focused, worked hard and accomplished that goal.
Unfortunately, Richard passed just a few days after our district leaders along with Titus O’Neil gave him a special graduation ceremony and presented him with his diploma in his hospice room.
Now, O’Neil and Sheriff Chad Chronister are stepping up to take care of all funeral expenses for Richard.
“While I can’t change the fact that he has passed,” said O’Neil on an Instagram post. “I can and will commit along with my friend and brother, Chad Chronister, to financially take care of the funeral arrangements for the family and hopefully help ease some of the burden.”
O’Neil went on to say how proud he is of Richard for working so hard for the past year, from his hospital bed, to receive his diploma and be the first in his family to do so.
