Thaddeus Bullard and Jameis Winston were not born with a silver spoon in their mouths. In fact, far from it. That is why they both personally know how hard this pandemic is hitting families, especially those who were already in need.
To help, they donated $25,000 each to Metropolitan Ministries to help distribute food to families at three of Hillsborough County’s Public Schools: Sligh Middle Magnet, Foster Elementary, and Woodson K-8.
"This gift gives us the opportunity to help serve those that are homebound and put a dent in a very big need,” said Thaddeus Bullard, also known as Titus O'Neil his WWE Superstar name.
“This is so much bigger than me. This is about our community and our youth,” said Jameis Winston, NFL Quarterback. “Our kids need us so much at a time like this. This means more to me than anything else in this world.”
"This is a collaborative effort,” said Tim Marks, President & CEO of Metropolitan Ministries. “This food provided today was donated by kids doing food drives, Feeding Tampa Bay and by the generosity of Thaddeus and Jameis.”
They plan to distribute boxes of food and fresh produce on Tuesdays and Thursdays for faculty, staff, and families whose children attend Sligh, Foster and Woodson K-8.
