Hillsborough County Public Schools held its first ever virtual showcase of schools in STEMtastic!

The event is typically held at the Florida Aquarium, and schools set up stations where families can line up to visit and ask questions.

However, because of COVID-19, we decided to hold the event virtually this year.

What a fun, exciting, and informative event!

Families registered for the event and were sent ZOOM codes and passwords for each school they were interested in checking out.

• More than 900 families registered for STEMtastic;
• 18 Magnet and traditional schools, representing more than 90 programs, provided information to families;
• All virtual rooms were filled with 30-50 families at any given time;
• Students, teachers & administrators from around the district participated to help families explore their STEM options.

We have several more virtual events planned to answer questions and showcase our Magnet schools before the Magnet/Choice window opens November 2^nd at 5:59pm.
