District leaders and community members gathered for a ribbon cutting ceremony for the Hunter’s Green Elementary School health clinic. The district was awarded the School-Based Health Center Capital Program Grant by the U.S. Dept of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), as authorized by the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
The $500,000 award funded the construction and outfitting of the School-Based Health Center modular facility situated on campus to serve students and families in the community in need of health care services. "The school-based health center grant will provide critical resources to the community and will ultimately support the overall well-being of each child," stated Superintendent Jeff Eakins.
