Holiday Heroes: Tampa’s Bill Currie Ford committed to supporting HCPS students

December 21, 2016 - Partners in Education

Bill Currie Ford of Tampa takes their commitment to caring very seriously, and it’s evident by the generous donation of time, money, and support that they make available to the students of Hillsborough County Public Schools.

Many amazing projects have been funded, staffed, and rewarded by Bill Currie Ford in support of the Education, Prevention, and Intervention Centers (EPIC).  Intiatives including sponsorship of the PBIS stores at Brandon and North Tampa EPIC Centers, EPIC Career Fairs, dealership tours for EPIC students, the EPIC Doretha Edgecomb Female Symposiums, and many more impactful programs.

Christy Vannette, Director of Community Relations for Bill Currie Ford, is passionate about her involvement with HCPS students. “We have always strived to create a culture of caring and pride in where we work.  We supported the Principal’s Club at what was then the North Tampa Alternative Center.  Once I was introduced to the Education, Prevention, and Intervention Centers (EPIC) program, I fell in love with this project," said Vannette.

Bill Currie Ford was selected to receive the 2016 Salute to Dealers Award by Ford Motor Company. Chosen as one of only six award recipients in the United States, Ford’s Salute to Dealers recognizes dealers who go above and beyond when it comes to giving back to the communities in which they live and work.

Bill Currie Ford, located at 5815 N Dale Mabry Hwy in Tampa, was founded in 1960, and has been family run for more than three generations.  Since moving to Tampa Bay in 1960, the “First Family of Ford” has established a legacy of commitment to the Tampa community that Bill Currie III and his daughter, Jennifer Currie-Bellomo, carry on today. “To be a good businessman, you must first be a good neighbor”, said Bill Currie III.

Holiday Heroes come from many different organizations and groups in the community.  Thank you, Bill Currie Ford of Tampa, for your commitment to caring!
