Why #WeAchieveTogether: Student Arianna Carriera
Arianna Carriera graduated from Memorial Middle School and is now a freshman at Hillsborough High School.
My favorite part about being a student at Memorial is that the teachers and the administrators care about us. They always give us tutoring and extra help when we need it and take the time to make sure we understand the lessons.
One time, we went to a Love Thy Selfie event, where we explored what we want to be when we grow up. When I grow up, I want to be a fashion designer and actor.
My favorite teacher is Ms. Jackson (Student Success Coach, pictured below). She teaches us that we can do anything, and she shows us what we need to do to get there. She taught us to ask for help and to not be scared to do so.
It’s important for us to know that our teachers and administrators care because they give us a voice and make us feel like we’re important and we can do anything.
This is Why #WeAchieveTogether.
*Note from Arianna's Student Success Coach, Kimberland Jackson: Arianna was selected by Memorial Middle School's CHOSEN Mentor Group as "CHOSEN Woman of the Year" for 2017-2018, because she consistently displayed the following characteristics: Character, Humility, Optimism, Self-Esteem, Excellence, Nobility.
