Tampa, Fla. – (September 30, 2019) – On Wednesday, October 2, Hillsborough County Public Schools, in partnership with the Tampa Bay Arts & Education Network (TBAE), will premiere a new TV program featuring diversity in our school district.

Hillsborough Schools promotes a welcoming and supportive environment while celebrating the diversity of our students and staff. Our district’s Office of Diversity assists our schools with diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and advances our district’s strategic plan.

Embrace All is a NEW TV series highlighting leaders in our district. Dr. Minerva Spanner Morrow, our district’s Chief Diversity Officer, hosts the series with the goal of connecting the community to our district’s many programs.

One show will feature our district’s Office of Supplier Diversity, sharing how small businesses – especially women, Hispanic, African American and veteran-owned businesses – work with our district. Another show highlights two of our schools that have implemented a Dual Language Program. In addition, Dr. Dakeyan Chá Dré Graham from King High School will be a guest on another show. Dr. Graham, who was named the 2020 Florida Teacher of the Year, discusses diversity in our schools.

You can watch this program on Hillsborough Schools TV, which can be found on Spectrum Cable channel 635 and Frontier FIOS channel 32. It can also be viewed on the TBAE Network https://watch.tbae.net. This program will premiere October 2 at 8 p.m.
