Tampa, Fla. – (November 6, 2019) – Parents, teachers, district leaders and community members—anyone who has a vested interest in making our 50 highest needs schools the best they can be—will gather Thursday evening for our first of five Achievement Schools Community Chats.
Thursday, November 7, 2019
Edison Elementary: 1607 E. Curtis Street, Tampa
Our district is now in the second year of our Achievement Schools initiative. We continue to provide more resources and focused supports to our Achievement Schools to level the playing field for all students.
The hope is to engage and empower people in attendance to discuss issues and ideas and help strengthen the work that is being done in our Achievement Schools.
- Hear updates about the programs and services being offered at our schools
- Gather in small groups facilitated by our district leaders to brainstorm and offer solutions to challenges faced by our schools and community
- Help play a role in the overall success of our Achievement Schools
Additional Community Chats will be held at Achievement Schools around the county throughout the remainder of the school year. For more information about our Achievement Schools: sdhc.k12.fl.us/achievementsch.
