Tampa, Fl. (December 2, 2020) – Hillsborough County Public Schools is partnering with the Florida Department of Health - Hillsborough to help maintain the health and well-being of our students, families and district staff.

The district will host flu clinics at five schools throughout our community in December. Vaccinations will be provided by appointment only. Following CDC guidelines, the clinics will be set up in a drive-through format and participants will be directed to stay in their vehicles throughout the entire process.

“This is a vital service to our school community to ensure students are in school, learning and engaged with their teachers every single day. Medical experts confirm that receiving the flu vaccination is more important than ever this year. We understand that the flu can affect our youngest learners to a greater extent therefore, we must offer multiple opportunities for our families to take advantage of this initiative. I am so thankful for our partners at the Department of Health- Hillsborough for once again stepping up for our families and staff”, said Superintendent Addison Davis.

The vaccinations will be provided with no out of pocket expense to families. A family’s insurance company may be billed if their insurance policy will cover the shot. A parent or legal guardian must accompany students who plan to get a flu shot. Families can go to any of the locations on the dates and times listed below.
