Knights Elementary School Library Transformation

Tampa, Fla. – (December 6, 2017) – Knights Elementary School has re-imagined what an elementary school library can be due to a generous donation from the Kahler family in honor of Truman Kahler, a former teacher at Knights Elementary School.

New experiences include maker spaces, virtual field trips and kid friendly furniture, among other innovations.Guests will be able to tour the media center to see the Google 360 Lab, listen in on storytelling and view 3D printer displays. 

On Thursday, December 7, from 10 a.m.-noon, Knights Elementary School will unveil the newly named Truman Kahler Library of Knowledge and Innovation at a dedication. Knights Elementary School is located at 4815 N. Keene Rd., Plant City.

Truman Kahler exemplified all the characteristics of the best of the teaching profession. The Knights Elementary School library transformation was built to honor Mr. Kahler’s legacy by providing students with an experience that is unique within the school.

Truman Kahler family members and guests will be present: including his son Perry Kahler, widow Diana Kahler and granddaughter Emerson Busciglio.
