Carla Plummer, English teacher at Plant City High School, approached the Theater Department with this play and had such fire and passion about the possibilities, she pulled everyone into her vision. One year later, under the direction of Plummer, the students will present the American classic in a way Tampa Bay has never seen, in both English and Spanish. Disney's editing of this beloved fairytale to accommodate the Spanish dialogue makes the story new for every viewer.

The students and teachers involved in the production of Aladdin believe that putting on this dual language production, and highlighting the importance behind it was influential in winning a $10,000 grant from NBCUniversal.

Ticket sales from this production will go towards next year's production of Little Shop of Horrors, and help send students to student theater competitions.
