3410 - Compensation

Salaries of all instructional staff members shall be determined by the School Board and shall be authorized by the annual salary schedule adopted by the Board upon the recommendation of the Superintendent.

Pursuant to statutory requirements and subject to negotiation, a portion of each instructional staff member’s compensation paid pursuant to the adopted salary schedule shall be based on demonstrated performance as evaluated in accordance with State law and Policy 3220.

The adopted salary schedule shall also provide for differentiated pay based for instructional staff members upon District-determined factors, including the following:

  A. additional responsibilities;


  B. school demographics;


  C. critical shortage areas;


  D. level of job performance difficulties;


In addition, the Board shall pay a salary supplement for an advanced degree in the individual’s area of certification.

Instructional staff members should refer to the current collectively-bargained agreement.
