Performing arts groups shall participate only in activities within the District and/or sanctioned by the FMEA and FHSAA. School bands and/or performing groups may be requested for special civic or government functions when school is not in session. Transportation costs to nonschool functions may be paid by the sponsoring agency. No music group shall participate in an activity that is not school related without prior approval of the Superintendent.
Activities for other performing groups including cheerleaders, drill teams, majorettes, etc., shall be limited to the District. However, the Superintendent may annually approve a group to attend activities out of the District, but within the State of Florida. Requests for trips outside of Florida must be approved by the Superintendent and the Board. No performing group shall participate in an activity that is not school related without prior approval of the Superintendent.
